A Note from Our Owner – Frank Mumford

Mumford

I graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in business. I worked for four years in the home-improvement industry before starting SIR Home Improvements. Since my family didn’t have much money, I had to pay for college myself. I decided my best opportunity was through athletics. I walked on to the football team at Western Michigan University and became a starter earning a four-year scholarship. I believe the challenges in my early life and in college helped prepare me for the challenges I would face in business. I am a licensed builder. I have been a board member of my church for over 15 years. I have been the owner of SIR Home Improvements since its beginning in 1980.

My day-to-day position can be summed up in one word — “service.” I believe I am here to help people at Sir Home Improvement grow and accomplish their personal goals and dreams. It is only through their growth that Sir home improvement has the opportunity to grow. I love my job because there is always something new and exciting to do every day! Our mission statement is “to offer the best value per dollar in order to fulfill our customers home-improvement dreams.” I feel that fulfilling dreams drives me.

I love spending time with my wife and six kids, working on church projects, playing golf and preparing other ways that I can help people in the second half of my life.

Great job!! Zack did a wonderful job on the demolition..not one hair out of place or spec of dust. Matt came up with a way to do what I wanted and created a new use for the acrylic. Very satisfied with my new bathroom!!! Highly recommend!

Mike drove down 2 hours from Hastings to measure our windows for the install. He was very knowledgeable and kind and even showed me how to remove my blinds from the windows. He was very thorough in his inspection and even went into my crawl space. I have been extremely happy with the service I’ve received so far with SIR. I’m really looking forward to our new windows as we look to provide extra heat to our baseman as we turn it into a playroom for our daughter.
